Summary

For Sub-tropical Storm Beryl. Sub-tropical storm Beryl is currently located south of the Maritime marine district and is slowly moving northeastward. The storm is over the warm waters of the Gulf Stream therefore no change in intensity is expected in the short term. However, by Monday morning Beryl should be north of the warm Gulf Stream and will be entering into much cooler water, which will induce weakening and cause the storm to become post-tropical. This is the final information statement for this storm. Sub-tropical storm Beryl is located well south of the Maritimes and is expected to become a post-tropical storm by morning. Little to no impact to the region. 1. Summary of basic information at 9:00 p.m. ADT. Location: 38.3 North 63.3 West. About 665 km east-southeast of Nantucket. Maximum sustained winds: 65 km/h. Present movement: east-northeast at 9 km/h. Minimum central pressure: 1010 mb. 2. Public weather impacts and warnings summary. A tropical feed of moisture will affect southeastern Newfoundland over the next couple days that is not directly associated with sub-tropical storm Beryl. No direct public impacts from the storm are expected at this time. 3. Marine weather impacts and warnings summary. 3. Although Beryl is producing marginal gale force winds near the center, the storm is forecast to weaken as it enters Canadian waters Monday. Gale force winds are not expected at this time.
