Special Weather Statement

Issued at 15:38 Monday 18 February 2019

Summary

A low pressure system may intensify as it passes New England and then impact the Maritimes on Thursday. Current guidance is showing the system reaching western Nova Scotia and then continuing eastward. Snow would spread throughout New Brunswick during the day Thursday and increase in intensity especially over western portions of the province. It is too early to provide precise snowfall amounts but it is anticipated that accumulations could be significant enough to disrupt transportation. Should the track or intensity of this system change as it approaches our region this scenario could change. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NBstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #NBStorm.
