Summary

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected. Snow heavy at times will change through ice pellets to freezing rain this afternoon and finally to rain later tonight. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected with the highest amounts over northwestern Madawaska and Restigouche counties. Freezing rain warnings are also in effect for an extended period of freezing rain which is expected this afternoon and evening. Precipitation is expected to taper to a few showers then flurries early Wednesday morning. ### Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
