Summary

A very warm and humid air mass continues to hover over Northeastern Ontario tonight, with temperatures remaining in the low to mid twenties. Minimum temperatures in the high teens to near twenty are expected towards dawn on Monday, providing little releaf from the weekend heat. A cold front is forecast to usher in a cooler and less humid air mass to Northeastern Ontario Monday, heralding an end to this heat event. ### The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
